November 21, 2011

Dear Family and friends!

This week was Great! Thanks. Thanksgiving already? How is that even possible! Ha, this is so weird. I don´t remember what day it is, but i will find out and cook up a special dinner...or breakfast.
We only pass by our house at the end of the day. I think that myself and the other american elders nearby will figure out a way to celebrate it.  But we did play some football today!

Today we went to the big park on our street...main street of Bage, and played some soccer, football, and basketbalal! It was really funny because everyone was stopping to watch some Americans play football and basket ball, especially football though, we got a pretty good crowd. It was 3 on 3 Brasilians vs Americans and they totally dominated in soccer...but i scored! And then we played football and destroyed. Good fun! And it was not terriblee hot!
But Thanksgiving at Adam´s should be a blast. You could try cooking a turkey, or just some meat the gaucho way, Get a spit, sal grosso...thick salt?(does that make sense?), and fire! You will have to annoucne that i am immensly gratefgull for the examples that you have all left me. You all really are the best and i am trying to live up to your expectations. Mark may be running right now, but lets see who wins in a few years! After a few years of marriage and some kids...well enough said, kidding! Have fun! Oh and you can do the drink run mom, but no coke, at least for me that is. President Swenson has banned missionaries from drinking coka cola. Elder Evans was talking with all the presidents of the missions in Brasil and said that it is not against the word of wisdom, but that Brasil is one of the countries where people get most addicted. He asked that all the missions stop drinking it. And it is true, i can totally see it here, not all the time, but hey...i like guarana too!
You wrapped presents?? Haha, way cool, got any ties in that box??  Kidding. But there are already some places with Christmas decorations up.  You all went to see the twilight movie??? I am calling you all to repentance. Sherlock Holmes was my favorite movie last year! It should be really good! Definitely see that one for me!

Congrats on the food drive! that is way cool. What was the count? Did they play any of the old videos?

Some drunk Asian guy was honking at you guys?? Ha, Sounds like that would be fun just to see your reactions!

I got that picture from Prescott! It was way cool! That is awesome!  The weather looks perfect.

Black friday? You could try shopping online! I hear that there are way better deals there. But i would not kill myself going into that mall again.
Get that visa right away Torrin! You don´t want to get stuck waiting somewhere, but then again, if you do get stuck, you have something to learn there and God sent you there to help you.

Elder Kennington! Bah que legal! He is the man, send a hi for me. If only we served in the same mission! I would dominate him at arm wrestling every day.
Julyu- She went to church yesterday and is getting baptized saturday at 5:30! Woo! i will take a picture of everything and send it your way when i get it.

Tiago- Yes tiago was feeding me that snake we killed, ha. He is doing good. He is really learning alot and progressing alot. But we still have some time before his baptism. If you could just send some prayers his way.

Marcelina_ The picture i sent with the bull head was with Marcelina, she is from the frontier and has only been living in Bage 2 years, but she is really awesome and just needs help with a few things. But she sends her love and a (hi) your way.

Danilo and Prissila- this is a family we found this week and they appear really great. Danilo is part of the police in the army....if that makes sense to you. But they apeaar very sincere. Only time will tell!

Vagner and Ana- this family is amazing, they have three daughters and 2 of them are already members. I reallly love this family and we are going to be helping ana receive a testimony about the Livro de Mormon. This week we had a big bbq with the whole family of vagner and we will be receiving alot of contacts from that. (the picture with all the meat!)
I love you all and am so grateful for all the prayers you send my way.  I really am blessed in life. Looking at the lives of other people here without the gospel breaks my heart sometimes. These people can not continue forward without this gospel, with happiness, true happiness, not the mask of joy that the world gives.
I love you all,
Até a próxima semana!
Elder Bradley Joseph Dawson
