What a great week it has been! This week we had the baptism of Thiago and Estefani!! It was friday night, and i got to baptize the two of them. Thank you for all of the prayers directed to them. Thiago received a powerful answer that the Book of Mormon is true, Joseph Smith was called to be the Profet to restore the true church of Jesus Christ and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is directed and lead by it´s founder, Jesus Christ. It was a very powerful experience for him. And once again, another confirmation that God loves his children in these days too, and has called a prophet to guide us.
So we set up a pool in our church building to do the baptism. We left with the hose running and when we got back we found out the hard way that the hose had some small holes...that was fun to clean up! Ha. Then we came back for the baptism and had to clean up all the waterthat left in little holes that the pool has! ha! But then we had the baptisms! I will try to send pictures, but it was wonderful. We had an activity that night too, the baptism was the spiritual part. There were hot dogs and soda for everyone and there was a fair number of members there. The water was pretty cold, that scared Estefani, but she was fine. The next day we showed up in the morning to take out all of the water and clean the chapel again...that was a very wet, but fun, experience :) They will both received the gift of the Holy Ghost through me and Elder Bezerra this Sunday and are very firm and happy! It is easy to see in their eyes.
Unfortunately, we have not heard from, or seen, Josue, the boy that showedup at the church last week, we are praying for this.
So this week, last monday night until friday morning, I have been in Belem Novo with an Elder. His companion is having some problems and we needed to do splits for a few days. He is alot better now. But part of my calling as zone leader is to take care of situations like this. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this Elder, he is the man!
